Well I didn’t think I was going to use strong language on my blog but some events just don’t leave me a choice. The tariffs for the iPhone are such an event. Have a good look here. And after you’ve done the math an iPhone will cost you more than $6300 in the next two years with a halfway descent data rate. $6300!!!!!!???!!!!! who do they think is going to buy this thing? Do they think the Apple geeks will do it? Do they think they are lobotomised? They sure aren’t and I’ve asked around and nobody will buy one even the biggest Apple freak won’t. So who’s going to buy VF? Anyone? Any ideas?

I think that the only person dumb enough probably already has one and that’s the idiot who came up with the pricing structure for the iPhone.

I’ve waited long months for this and I soooooo wanted an iPhone. And not only one. My wife wants one too. So Apple and VF would have profited nicely from us but with these plans there’s just no way that any one of us will get one. Even if my company would pay for it I would refuse to get one. This is a matter of principle. I’m not supporting VF gourging themselves on this. Personally I’m so pissed off with VF that I refuse to deal with VF anymore. Telecom will bring their 3G network in November I believe and then it’s good riddence VF. i.e. said in plain English… “Go Suck Vodafone!”

P.S. As many others have I’ve also sent Apple an email asking for an investigation into this. Vodafone NZ has the most expensive iPhone plans on the planet.
