Sometimes on trademe or ebay you come across these nice old Macs/iPods/iPhones/iBooks/… and you’d like to know the config and what it can and can’t do. I.e. can you anything with them? Can they run Leopard? Can they attach to my VGA monitor?…
Well the answer is simple. There’s a nice Mac (and Windows!!!) proggie that will give you all that data and then some. It’s called MacTracker. I find it’s really well done and is worth a look. The screen below shows you a typical view.
